Fig Notes

About Edwin

Fig Notes is where I keep the thinking that does not fit neatly into a roadmap, a meeting note, or a song file.

I am Edwin Figueroa: a product-minded technologist, music person, data optimist, and lifelong practitioner of trying to make sense of complicated things without sanding off the human parts.

What I Write About

I write about product, AI, data platforms, creative practice, and the strange middle ground where technology changes how people work, learn, decide, and tell stories.

The site is intentionally quiet. Fewer distractions, more signal. A place for ideas to sit long enough to become useful.

The Through Line

My work has moved through music, operations, analytics, product management, and technology strategy. The pattern underneath has stayed fairly consistent: listen carefully, find the shape of the problem, make the next useful thing, then learn from what happens.

That is the spirit of this blog too. Some posts are practical. Some are reflective. Some are artifacts from earlier seasons of thinking. The point is not perfection. The point is practice.

A Few Anchors

  • Product is a way of deciding what deserves attention.
  • Data is only useful when it helps people see more clearly.
  • AI needs taste, governance, and responsibility to become durable.
  • Music keeps reminding me that structure and feeling are not opposites.

Thanks for reading. I am glad you found your way here.
